INFORMATION COLLECTED ON OUR SITES

The PII you submit will be available not only to Resortia, but also to our affiliated companies once it has been received through our Sites, and it may be transferred as described below to other parties (see sections regarding sharing information below). Usage data. Resortia may track user traffic patterns and content accessed throughout our Sites. This information allows us to better tailor our content to readers' needs and to help our affiliated companies, advertisers and property owners to better understand our audience. Cookies and similar technologies. In order to improve your experience when using our Site, we or our third party service providers may place a text file called a “cookie” on your computer, which may store preferences or other information, and may be used to help personalize your experience when using our Sites. Resortia or our affiliated companies may use PII collected on our Sites: to enhance your experience using our Sites, to provide information you have requested, to facilitate a vacation rental transaction between our users and property owners, to notify you of other properties or information we believe may be of interest to you, to improve our Sites, for purposes related to the business of Resortia or our affiliated companies, for marketing or promotional purposes, for any other purpose described in this Privacy Policy, or otherwise as we may disclose to you from time to time. We may also use Non-PII sent to us by your web browser or by cookies to perform statistical analyses of our server logs in order to study the use of various areas of our Sites. We also review IP addresses to analyze where we are getting our audience. We may create aggregate reports on our users traffic patterns and other user data for current or future affiliated companies, advertisers, sponsors and partners. This allows our advertisers to advertise more effectively, and allows our users to receive advertisements that are pertinent to their needs. We use email addresses collected on our Sites to periodically send emails to users regarding vacation destinations, rental properties, or other offers, products or services we believe may be of interest to you. You may unsubscribe from these emails at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in emails generated by our third party email provider. If an individual sales representative sends an email specifically to you, there is no unsubscribe link in that email, however you may notify us by forwarding the email to info@resortia.com and notifying us that you do not wish to be contacted again.

SHARING OF INFORMATION

We may share your PII or Non-PII collected through our Sites with: (i) our current or future affiliated companies, subsidiaries, or other related entities; (ii) companies and organizations that perform services on our behalf, for example, companies that provide support services to us (such as reservation processing, data storage and web hosting services); (iii) owners or managers of rental properties about which you have inquired on our Sites, and (iv) third parties we have selected for marketing purposes, promotions, or other purposes not expressly described herein. We may also disclose the PII we collect through our Sites when we, in good faith, believe disclosure is appropriate to comply with the law (or respond to any legal process such as a court order or subpoena, government requests in the U.S. or other countries, or request related to national security in accordance with applicable laws); to prevent or investigate a possible crime such as fraud or identity theft; to enforce the Terms of Use or other agreements that govern your use of our Sites or rental of properties you have identified through our Sites; to protect the rights, property or safety of Resortia, our affiliated companies, property owners or managers, our users or others; or to protect your vital interests. Information submitted to our Sites is an asset of Resortia and its affiliated companies, and will become part of our normal business records. Any information collected on our Sites, including without limitation PII, may be transferred to any entity related to Resortia or any of its affiliated entities in the present or future, or to another company that has acquired the stock or assets of Resortia or our affiliated companies, for example, as the result of a sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or liquidation. If such a transfer occurs, the acquiring company’s use of your PII will still be subject to this Privacy Policy, and the privacy preferences you have expressed to us. Please be aware that by using any of our Sites you are deemed to have accepted and agreed to the sharing of your Information collected through our Sites in the manner described in this Privacy Policy, and we will not be required to obtain your consent for any disclosure described in this Privacy Policy.

If you are located outside of the United States, you understand that by using any of our Sites, you are providing Information to Resortia and its affiliated companies in the United States, and you hereby consent to the transfer of your Information to (and processing or other use of your information in) the United States and any other countries in which Resortia: (i) has affiliated entities now or in the future, (ii) promotes rental properties about which you have inquired, (iii) has entered (or may enter in the future) any marketing or sales related arrangements with a company located in the applicable country, and (iv) may transfer your Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. You further consent to the use of your Information for marketing purposes by Resortia and its affiliated entities, marketing partners, service providers, or any third parties to which Resortia may provide your Information as described in this Privacy Policy, in the United States or any other country. THIRD PARTY SITES Third party sites, including our advertisers, promotional partners, property owners/managers, and other service providers accessible through our Sites, may have their own privacy and data collection policies and practices. For example, during your visit to our Sites you may link to, or view certain content that is actually created or hosted by a third party. Resortia is not responsible for the actions or policies of such third parties and is not liable to you for any claims that may arise from your interaction with those third parties or their sites. You should exercise caution and check the applicable privacy policies of those third parties when providing PII or another party’s information on a feature or page operated by a third party.

SECURITY

Resortia operates secure data networks protected by industry standard systems. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary. Only authorized individuals have access to the PII provided by our Site’s users.
